Mu Parlour, an oasis in Holland Village

Ever got tired of the endless stream of people in Holland Village? Well, the lions do feel that way sometimes when they are hover around there. Thankfully, due to Cuchi sharp eyes, she spotted Mu Parlour on top of Thai Express and wondered what was that.... Curiosity finally gave way and the lions wandered upstairs.
What the lions saw surprised them, right in the middle of Holland Village is this modern cottage like hidden area which serves coffee (!!!) burgers and desserts!

A concept of simplicity and bright white colours to make the place feel spacious.

As the lions were rather full when they noticed Mu Parlour, they just decided to go for their drinks and desserts.
Macaroons
Comes in a few different flavor depending on the pastry chef. The taste and flavor is there however, the texture is lacking. Crumbly and easily fallen apart, much to Cute Cute's disappointment as he liked the taste.
Chocolate and Black Sesame Tart
Cuchi found this dessert rather unique, chocolate tart with a taste of black sesame. A rather unique combination but it paired off rather well. An addition of black sesame macaroon also helped with the looks of the dessert.
Tea Cocktail: Afternoon delight
Came in a teacup, this cocktail is more a ladies' drink. (Cute Cute prefers his wine and beer anytime.) Very refreshing and coupled with a citrus taste, makes a good compliment to the heavy desserts that you get.
Long Black
Hmm... although smooth... the long black lack body.....

Mu Parlour is certainly a place for you to sit back and relax and watch the people walk past as you sip your tea cocktail or coffee. An oasis within an oasis of Singapore.

  2. Same here.. The food was just average, and if were to compare macdonald and mu parlour, macdonalds doesnt just win by a margin but place was rather interesting still. Probably great for a relaxing nightout with your partner on a date.http://www.foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2013/03/mu-parlour.html
