Where Creatives Grab Caffeine

Deciding not to let the downcast grey skies dampen their spirits on a cool Saturday afternoon, the two lions headed down to Portsdown Road near Wessex Estate for a serious perk-me-up cuppa.

Smile! Grey skies will not get me down.
Exploring where creative minds lurk. Grey building against a downcast sky;
hopefully it will be cheerier inside. Infinite Studios@Mediapolis, dedicated to
the production of film, tv and new media content is located in
the heart of the country's new "Technology Corridor".
The lion's eyes must be playing tricks on him as he misread
the sign as "Media Circus".
Love the greens. Quiet seclusion and proximity to Mother Nature - both
essential ingredients to brew innovative and creative solutions?
A hideout for brainstorming sessions or
to chill after an invigorating day at work?
Media folks here sure are lucky this sprouted out
in their backyard.

Revolution Coffee is the first on the island to carry this house blend -
"Reservoir Road" - by Sydney-based Single Origin Roaster.
Glass-to-ceiling windows imbue this coffee joint with an open and airy feel.
Hard at work on a weekend? Must be the creative air of
ideas permeating the room by association.
Instead of trying the signature Reservoir Road blend that goes
well with milkier concoctions, the lions picked a Long Black and
went for the Guest Blend, Orange Crow, by local roaster Smitten.
Great cuppa with just the right hint of fruity acidity.
Gula Melaka Sticky Date Pudding was a welcomed sugar rush. One of
the best versions so far. The vanilla ice-cream that came with it
tasted sneakily organic, in a good way of course. It was light and not
overbearingly sweet.

Little bites to satisfy. Hungry folks should check out their brunch menu as well.
Sticker Lady Alert!
Just a few steps away from Revolution Coffee lies
The Grocer by Sterling. Craving Asian flavours,
the lions settled down here for a bowl of laksa and
bak kut teh.
Beer-holics will be flabbergasted by the mind-boggling variety of
bottled beers on offer.
Settling down with a brew from exotic Ukraine.
Refreshing chocolatey notes mmmm...
The View
This integrated cafe, bar and grocer started out as a caterer.
Lions couldn't resist the oysters, not the best but at $2,
no complains!
The lions were shocked at the generosity of ingredients.
The laksa was chockful of taupok and came with
a crayfish at $5.50. It was also delightfully lemak.

The bak kut teh was also a steal at $6 with 6 huge pieces
of chunky meat. What bang for your buck!
Beer Glorious Beer
